MISSIONS

At Micah Mission, we believe the call of Jesus in Matthew 28:19—“Go and make disciples of all nations…”—is not reserved for far-off lands or pulpits alone. It is a call to live intentionally, compassionately, and relationally right where we are. Our mission field is here, among the unhoused, marginalized, and under-resourced in the Lompoc Valley. We believe making disciples begins not with a sermon, but with a conversation. Not just in word, but in action—offering meals, dignity, and the love of Christ through every interaction.

We are committed to living out this commission by acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God (Micah 6:8). Every shower given, every prayer shared, every resource offered is a step in the journey of walking with others as they discover healing and hope. We do not simply offer services; we offer presence. We show up. We listen. We invite others to discover the God who sees them, knows them, and walks beside them. In doing so, we reflect the heart of Jesus—who always met people where they were.

Our mission is deeply relational because discipleship is deeply relational. We believe God uses everyday moments to spark transformation. Through consistent presence, intentional relationships, and community built on trust, we create space for people to encounter the love of Jesus in ways that are tangible and lasting. Volunteers, staff, and community partners all share in this sacred work—living the gospel not just in belief, but in practice.

In this way, the Great Commission becomes more than a command—it becomes our way of life. At Micah Mission, we don’t just talk about hope; we embody it. We don’t just proclaim the good news; we live it. And as we walk humbly with our neighbors, we trust that God is at work—calling people to Himself, one relationship, one act of love, one life at a time.
