Volunteer With Micah Mission

Walking alongside our neighbors through presence, compassion, and community.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” — 1 Peter 4:10

Why Volunteer With Micah Mission

At Micah Mission, we believe that real change begins with love in action - and that kind of love requires people. Volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission, showing up with compassion, consistency, and courage to walk alongside our unhoused, marginalized, and under-resourced neighbors.

From preparing meals to offering a listening ear, helping with showers to organizing resources, every act of service becomes an opportunity to care, love, and support someone on their journey toward hope and healing. Volunteering here is not about fixing people - it’s about being present, building trust, and honoring dignity.

Scripture calls us to “act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God” (Micah 6:8). One of the most powerful ways we live this out is by using our gifts - big or small - in service to others.

How You Can Serve

Volunteers serve in many different ways, depending on their gifts, availability, and comfort level. Opportunities may include:

Community Meals & Hospitality

Preparing and serving meals, welcoming guests, and helping create spaces of warmth, dignity, and belonging.

Care & Support

Walking alongside individuals through conversation, encouragement, and practical support.

Community Days & Special Events

Serving during Women’s Care Day, Men’s Community Day, and other focused outreach opportunities.

Behind-the-Scenes Support

Helping with setup, cleanup, organization, administration, or other essential tasks that support the mission.
You don’t need special training to begin - just a willing heart, humility, and a desire to serve with compassion.

Who Can Volunteer

Volunteers come from many backgrounds, faiths, and walks of life. Some serve regularly, others occasionally - but all are united by a shared commitment to care well and show up consistently.

Whether you’re gifted in hospitality, organization, prayer, mentoring, or simply being present, there is a place for you at Micah Mission. Training, guidance, and support are provided, and no one volunteers alone.

As we serve side by side, we grow not only in impact but in understanding - learning from one another and seeing our community through new eyes.

Rooted In Faith, Open To All

Micah Mission is grounded in the Christian faith, and that faith shapes how we serve - with humility, compassion, and love. Volunteers are not required to share our beliefs, but we do ask that all who serve honor our values and the dignity of every person.

We serve together with respect, grace, and a shared commitment to walk alongside others.
