Leadership Rooted in Service

Leadership at Micah Mission isn't about titles, positions, or recognition. It's about responsibility - to the people we serve, the community that trusts us, and the mission we've been called to carry forward.
We believe leadership begins with humility, grows through relationships, and is measured by how faithfully we serve others.

How We Lead Matters

At Micah Mission, we believe the way we lead should reflect the way we serve.
That means listening before assuming, collaborating rather than competing, and making decisions that protect dignity, strengthen relationships, and create opportunities for hope.
Our leadership is guided by the same principles that shape every interaction at the H.U.B.

HUMILITY

We recognize that no one person or organization has every answer. We listen, learn, and remain open to growing.

COMPASSION

INTEGRITY

We believe trust is earned through honesty, responsible decisions, transparency, and accountability.

COLLABORATION

People are never projects or statistics. Every decision should reflect the dignity and worth of the people we serve.
We believe lasting community impact happens when people and organizations work together.

Leadership isn't simply about where we're going.
It's about how we treat people along the way.

Meet he People Helping Lead the Way

Behind the work of Micah Mission are people who believe deeply in the dignity of every neighbor and the power of a community that chooses to show up for one another.

Our leadership reflects different strengths, shared values, and a common commitment to building relationships, strengthening community, and creating pathways toward hope.

Pastor Brian E Halterman

Founder, Executive Director & Lead Pastor

Brian Halterman serves as Founder, Executive Director, and Lead Pastor of Micah Mission, bringing over three decades of experience in pastoral leadership, community engagement, and nonprofit service. His leadership is shaped by a deep commitment to relational ministry, collaboration, and walking alongside individuals and families navigating homelessness, addiction, and life’s hardest transitions.
Brian’s work is grounded in faith and guided by the conviction that lasting transformation happens through presence, trust, and consistent care. Rooted in the call of Micah 6:8—to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God - he leads with an unwavering heart for justice and a pastoral posture that values dignity over quick solutions.
Alongside his wife, Renee, Brian continues to help shape Micah Mission as a space where people are seen as neighbors, not problems to be solved - where community is cultivated, relationships are honored, and hope has room to grow.

Good governance protects more than an organization.
It protects the trust of the people and community we serve.

Trust Is Earned. Every Day.

Trust isn't something we believe an organization can simply ask for. It's something that
must be earned through actions, decisions, and relationships.
At Micah Mission, we recognize that people place different kinds of trust in us.
Guests trust us with their stories and their needs. Volunteers trust us with their time.

Donors trust us with their generosity. Community partners trust us to collaborate responsibly.
We take each of those responsibilities seriously.
Because the way we carry out our mission matters just as much as the mission itself.

Responsible Stewardship

Every gift, resource, and opportunity entrusted to Micah Mission carries responsibility. We are committed to thoughtful decisions, careful stewardship, and using our resources to strengthen the mission and serve our community.

Clear Governance

Strong leadership includes accountability. Our Board of Directors provides governance and oversight, helping ensure that Micah Mission remains guided by its mission, values, and organizational responsibilities.

DIGNITY & CONFIDENTIALITY

Every person who comes to the H.U.B. brings a story that deserves respect. We are committed to protecting personal dignity, respecting privacy, and handling sensitive information with care.

learning & improvement

We recognize that meaningful community work requires listening, reflection, and a willingness to grow. We seek to learn from the people we serve, our volunteers, our partners, and the experiences that shape our work

Dignity, Inclusion & Equal Access

At Micah Mission and the H.U.B., every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. We are committed to welcoming people without discrimination and providing services without requiring participation in religious activities.

Transparency Strengthens Trust.

We believe the people who support Micah Mission - and the people who depend on its services - deserve to understand the commitments that guide our work.

Our organizational policies and transparency resources provide a clearer picture of how we approach responsibility, accountability, and the care of our community.

Trust isn't built through promises alone. It's built through the choices we make and the way we treat people - every single day.

The Mission Is Bigger Than Any One Person.

Micah Mission began with a calling, but it has never been a journey meant to be walked alone. What happens at the H.U.B. is possible because people throughout our community choose to show up for one another.
Volunteers bring their time and compassion. Community organizations bring knowledge and resources. Churches and businesses bring support and partnership. Neighbors bring their experiences, perspectives, and willingness to help. And the people who come through our doors bring something equally important—their stories, their strengths, and their own contributions to the community we're building together.
This is what community-centered leadership looks like. Not one person having every answer, but creating space where people can work together, learn from one another, and build something greater than any of us could accomplish alone.

“Hope grows when leadership makes room for community.”

The strength of Micah Mission has never been found in one person.
It is found in a community that continues choosing hope together.

Questions Are Welcome Here.

We believe meaningful relationships begin with honest conversations.
Whether you have a question about Micah Mission's leadership, want to better understand how

our organization operates, have an idea for collaboration, or simply want to learn more about
the work happening at the H.U.B., we'd love to hear from you.
We don't believe leadership means having every answer. We believe it means being willing to listen, learn,

and engage with the people who make up our community.

Your questions matter. Your perspective matters. And the conversation is always worth having.
At Micah Mission, we believe that being accessible
is part of being accountable.
Whether you're a community member, volunteer, donor, partner, or someone simply curious about our mission, we welcome the opportunity to connect.
Sometimes the best ideas begin with a question. Sometimes meaningful partnerships begin with a conversation. And sometimes the first step toward building trust is simply knowing there's someone willing to listen.

Transparency begins with openness. Trust grows through conversation.
And strong communities are built when people
are willing to listen to one another.

Leadership Is a Shared Responsibility.

We are grateful for the people who have helped bring Micah Mission to where it is today - and we believe the best chapters of this story are still being written.

Every volunteer who shows up, every partner who collaborates, every donor who gives, and every neighbor who chooses to care becomes part of something bigger than any one of us.
Together, we can continue building a community where dignity is protected, relationships are strengthened, and hope remains within reach.

Because the future of Micah Mission isn't simply about where our leaders take us. It's about what we can build together.

Hope Happens Together.

Hope for today. Unity for the journey. Bridges for tomorrow.
